General Questions

I hear you. I've lived the life of an overcommitted, exhausted mom, volunteer, professional, and wife, doing the best I can while helping others heal. Part of our work together is finding the most important things for you to do right now, and letting some other things wait on the back burner. I want healing to be sustainable for you, and we make adjustments along the way as life changes.

It depends. We only test when it supports clarity. We will discuss if you might benefit from advanced testing (gut, hormones, inflammation markers, and similar) and how that might simplify your path forward. Most standard lab testing, such as yearly blood work, is read to see if you have a pathology or "need" a medication. I can review those results to see if your systems are suboptimal, which can contribute to the imbalances driving your symptoms.

If I order blood work, it is through a wholesale account for LabCorp. You are able to collect for many of the other kinds of advanced functional lab testing at home and ship your specimens to the lab. Your cost is the wholesale cost of the lab plus a 10% administrative fee.

You'll always be informed about what each test looks for, why it's recommended, the cost and timing, and how we'll use the results.

Yes, when appropriate. Supplements are recommended based on your personal physiology, not as a one-size-fits-all approach.

I do not provide primary medical care, psychotherapy, or emergency services. My work may not be the best fit for someone seeking a quick treatment for a straightforward strain, sprain, or recent injury. For example, if you pulled a muscle at work and simply want an adjustment before returning to your usual activities, another provider may be better suited to that type of care.

Visit Questions

I recommend starting with the Find Your Way Call, a free twenty minute call by phone, video, or in person. You describe what has been happening and Dr. Robin tells you honestly how she would approach it. This allows us both to make sure it is a good fit for you.

After your Find Your Way Call, if you decide to become a practice member, you’ll start with the New Patient Intake, which is two sixty minute visits. The Tell Me About You Visit covers your full life history, what you have already tried, and any previous labs or imaging. The Exam and Plan Visit includes a physical exam and a roadmap for what to address in what order. The New Patient Intake is $229 beginning October 1.

Yes. Some practice members understand that they will need multiple forms of support to improve their health, and a program of visits for a specific time period may be the best fit. You will have an option to choose a program of care or to schedule individual visits after you have discussed your treatment plan with Dr. Robin.

Programs are individualized to your needs. They may include any combination of:

  • Treatment modalities
  • Educational videos or handouts
  • Between-visit check-in support
  • Labs
  • Supplements

There may be discounts or bonuses as part of a program.

Practical Questions

Dr. Robin is in network with the Veterans Administration through TriWest. She is not in network with any other health insurance plans.

Some health insurance plans cover this kind of care through out-of-network benefits. After you schedule your Find Your Way Call, our billers can check if yours does if you would like. You may use HSA/FSA funds for all of our services.

The practice does not work with Medicaid, the Oregon Health Plan, Medicare, or Workers’ Compensation.

Lab tests incur an additional fee. If I order blood work, it is through a wholesale account for LabCorp. You are able to collect for many of the other kinds of advanced functional lab testing at home and ship your specimens to the lab. Your cost is the wholesale cost of the lab plus a 10% administrative fee. Often the pricing of these labs runs 25 to 50% below retail price.

Supplements incur an additional fee. Many supplements are available through my online portal at Fullscript, which works like Amazon for supplements, except every company sells doctor-quality supplements and there's no risk of counterfeit products. When you order through my Fullscript portal, you receive a 10% discount and free shipping on orders over $50.

Credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, checks, cash, and payment plans for eligible programs.

Yes, if we are not doing a hands-on treatment as part of the visit, we can meet by video call.

I am licensed in Oregon as a chiropractor and acupuncturist. I can offer educational consultations to non-Oregonians.

Yes. My work complements medical and mental health care. There are many skilled providers in the Northwest, so I often work as part of a team.

Scheduling & Cancellations

Appointments

All sessions are scheduled in advance. You'll receive reminders and instructions before each visit. You may schedule appointments online through our electronic health record system, Jane.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee. This ensures that time can be offered to another practice member who needs support.

Communication Guidelines

Between Sessions

You'll have access to communication by secure email, text, or phone.

Scope of Communication

Messaging between visits is intended for brief check-ins, protocol clarification, or simple questions. We will schedule a short video or in-person visit if additional time is needed to support you.

Messaging between visits is not appropriate for crisis support, urgent health concerns, therapy or emotional processing, or extended medical consultations. If you are in crisis or experiencing emergency symptoms, please call 911 or your local emergency services.
